The last trophy of the season was decided when Central A and Central B contested the First Division Cup Final. Central B had won the trophy last season with Central A’s Phil Snelson in their team. In the final Snelson was playing for the A team with Paul Baker and Julie Lawrence. The B team comprised Ramesh Bhalla, Andy Appleby and Martin Townshend. They actually played all nine singles and the A team triumphed 7-2. Baker was unbeaten for the A team and Snelson & Lawrence both bagged braces. Townshend beat Lawrence and, notably, Appleby got the better of Snelson.
In the First Division two-man Bentley A beat Fleet A 6-4. Micky Lang was unbeaten whilst Crispian Knight supported with a duo.
At the bottom of the Second Division Crawley Ridge A beat Braybrooke A 7-3 which leaves Braybrooke teetering on the edge of relegation. Phil Garrett was undefeated for Crawley Ridge with Vincent Quiambao and David Skellern supporting with duos. Both lost to Braybrooke’s Mark Armstrong. Bentley B completed their fixtures with a 9-1 drubbing of Tennis E. Robin Street and Paul farrant both returned maximums whilst Eric North won a couple.
Frimley D completed the Third Division fixtures with a whitewash of Fleet B. Ramesh Vasudevamurthy, Brian Greenberg and Charles Rhodes doing the damage.
