Ash B, in the First Division, celebrated their first win of the season in some style overcoming Frimley B 9-1. Nick Lynch and Ben Fereday recoded maximums whilst James Wyncoll bagged a brace. Central B beat Bentley A 6-4 with all the Central players, Martin Townshend, Ramesh Bhalla and Andy Appleby winning twice with Townshend unable to complete his sets during to injury. Central A maintained their lead at the top with an 8-2 victory over Fleet A. Julie Lawrence was unbeaten with Paul Baker and Peter Millard supporting with pairs. Tennis A kept pace with Central with a matching 8-2 victory over Frimley A. Paul Shakespeare won all three for Tennis with team-mates Michael Kwan and Dave Jarvis eaxh winning twice but both lost to Frimley’s Ce Guo.
There is now just one unbeaten side in the Fourth Division after Braybrooke B outgunned Tennis J 8-2. Mick Rumbold led the way for the Bracknell outfit with a full house whilst Kenny Duarte and Sandra Jackson each bagged braces with both losing to Roger Whichelow. Crawley Ridge D whitewashed Cody C thanks to Eric Wong, Yeuk Wan and David Marchant. Tennis K eased past Ash G, 6-4 with Joe Sparkes winning all three for Tennis. Both Sheila Pretty and Janet Guess won twice for Ash. Frimley F overcame Ash F 7-3 with Charles Rhodes unbeaten for Frimley. Maureen Bromley won a couple in support whilst Ash’s Graham Thomas also won twice.
After a slow start to the season Ash E are quickly moving up the Third Division table. The latest success was an 8-2 victory over Fleet B. Terry French led the way with a maximum assisted by team-mates Les Knight and Margaret Thornton who each won twice. Cody B and Frimley D shared the points with John Harvey unbeaten for Cody. Ramesh Vasudevamurthy and Brian Greenberg both bagged braces for Frimley. Tennis H eased past Crawley Ridge B 6-4 with Tushar Vaja claiming a maximum for Tennis. Ken Thompson won a couple for Crawley Ridge. Tennis F maintained their position at the top of the table with a 6-4 victory over Crawley Ridge C. The star performer of the evening was Crawley Ridge’s Yuriy Schulzhenko who claimed a full house. All the Tennis players, Peter Killick, Andy Barnard and Graham McCulley won twice.
Braybrooke A is easing away from the relegation zone in the Second Division after a 6-4 victory over Frimley C. Dave Connelly won all three for Braybrooke with Mark Armstrong supporting with a duo. Hilary Greig won a couple for Frimley. Tennis C remain top after a 7-3 victory over their D squad. Shaun Newbold won all his single for the C team with team-mates Mirko Danso and Pu Zhang winning twice. Ash D appear to be the main challengers to Tennis C and they cemented second spot with a 7-3 victory at Bentley B. Andy Clegg was unbeaten with Paul Creamer supporting with a duo. Paul Farrant won twice for Bentley. Crawley Ridge A beat Cody X by the same score, 7-3. David Skellern led the way with a maximum and he was supported by Phil Garrett and Dennis Smith who both bagged braces as did Cody’s Peter Anthony. Ash C in the form of Frank Winnard, Nigel Tustin and Jo Bartlett whitewashed Tennis E.
