The clash of the two unbeaten sides in the Third Division saw Tennis G triumph 6-4 over Crawley Ridge B. Peter Bone led the way for Tennis with a full house with colleague Mehrdad Abutalebi winning twice as did Crawley Ridge’s Phil Garrett. Crawley Ridge A beat Fleet B by the same score with Ken Thompson and David Marchant both bagging braces for Crawley Ridge as did the Fleet pair of Andrew Blunden and Rob Brook. Ash D beat Tennis F with Amy Parkes and Jo Bartlett chalking up maximums.
Frimley A, in the First Division, had a comfortable 7-3 success over Tennis C. Nigel Oh led his team with a maximum whilst Tim Ngyou supported with a pair. Shaun Newbold won a couple for Tennis. Fleet A beat Ash B 6-4 with no player on the night unbeaten. Fallon Thompson and David Joyce each won twice for Fleet as did the Ash duo of Chris Dury and Paul Rumble.
In the Fourth Division Ash F eased past Cody E 6-4 with Graham Thomas securing a maximum for Ash and Roger Fletcher supporting with a pair. This was matched by Cody’s John Asprey. Tennis J easily overcame a two person Ash G team 9-1. Graham Dorey and Keith Johnson were both unbeaten for Tennis.
The Second Division continues to be very tight. Cody B overcame Braybrooke A 6-4 although it was Braybrooke’s Yizhong Wei who was the star player of the evening with a maximum. All the Cody team, Dave Stenning, Paul Mission and Duncan Sibbick won twice. Leaders, Cody A, just beat a two man Ash C outfit 6-4 with Keith Russell unbeaten. Frank Winnard bagged a brace for Ash. Tennis D also won 6-4 this against promotion contenders Frimley B. Frimley’s Bob Walker was undefeated with both Peter Killick and Pu Zhang winning twice for Tennis.
