The results in the next round of the Handicap Cup are beginning to be recorded with the closet match so far between the two Tennis teams, J and H, both from the Fourth Division. The H team just took the first set when Michael Wolfe eased past Ken Lewington but the J team came back with successes for Graham Dorey against John Page and Keith Johnson over Roger Whichelow. The first doubles went to the H team but Dorey then beat Wolfe and although Whichelow beat Lewington Johnson beat Page to restore the lead for the J team. The next doubles was won again by the H but the J team came straight back with Dorey proving too strong for Whichelow. The H team had to win the next two singles which they duly did with Wolfe beating Johnson and Page overcoming Lewington. For the first time since the opening set the H team were ahead in the match with the final set being a doubles which was shared so the H team squeezed into the quarter-finals. Other matches have been less tight with Frimley C beating their D team 7-3 thanks to Gary Nicholson, Anthony Connelly and Vasco Correira. Tennis C easily beat their E team with Shaun Newboldand and Colin Baggott both unbeaten. Tennis D beat Braybrooke A 7-5, Lucas Higgins, Stuart Middlemiss and Pu Zhang all winning twice for Tennis.
There were a few KO cup results. In the Fourth Division Cup Ash G beat Fleet C 6-3 with Bob Murrell securing a maximum and Sheila Pretty winning a couple for Ash. Alan Yeung won twice for Fleet. Crawley Ridge C beat Ash F 8-1 with maximums for Richard Hornby and Yiruy Schulzhenko. Mark Stephenson won twice.
In the Division Two Cup Cody B beat Tennis E 8-1. Dave Stenning and Duncan Sibbick were both unbeaten with Paul Mission bagging a brace.
