The second promotion place in the Third Division was decided when Tennis F beat third-placed Cody C 9-1. Peter Killick and Darren Brown each secured maximums whilst Paul Jarvis supported with a duo. At the other end of the table Ash F will finish in the relegation slots after they lost 8-2 to fellow struggler Tennis G. Only playing two did not help Ash with Andrew Blunden the undefeated Tennis player. Frimley D consolidated their mid-table place when they beat Ash E 6-4. Gary Nicholson secured a full house whilst team mate Anthony Connelly won a couple as did Ash’s Jo Bartlett. Champions Frimley C thrashed Cody D 9-1 with Bob Walker and John Eade each winning all three and Derek Seager bagging a brace.
The top two in the Fourth Division, Cody E and Crawley Ridge B, met and shared the points in a result which confirms them as favourites to go up. Peter Greenwood-Sleep won all three for the Camberley based outfit with the Cody pair of Kim Phillips and Alan Richards each winning twice. Tennis J beat Ash J 9-1 with both Charles Burton and Dave Lewis recording trios. Graham Rudd won a couple in support. Tennis H beat Ash K 8-2 with John Page undefeated. Colleagues Graham Dorey and Keith Johnson each won twice but both lost to Ash’s Stuart Wickham. Fleet B overcame Ash H 7-3 with Rob Brook notching a trio. Team mate John Allan won a couple as did Ash’s Darren Milstead. Frimley E beat two-man Ash G 7-3. Bob Murrell won all his singles for Ash.
Bentley A are just a few points from clinching the First Division title after a whitewash of Cody A. Andy Mudie, Micky Lang and Steve French secured the points. Central A also recorded a whitewash, this against Frimley A. Phil Snelson, Peter Millard and Dennis Perrett the successful trio in this match.
There were three 6-4 results in the Second Division. Tennis D beat Frimley B with the ever reliable Michael Kwan maintaining his 100% record although Frimley’s Hudson Foley gave him an excellent match winning his other two as did colleague Vasco Correira. Fleet A beat Broadmoor A with David Joyce unbeaten and team mate Lawrence Dack winning a couple. Bentley B beat a two-man Cody B outfit with Paul Farrant undefeated for Bentley and Cody’s Dario Cereda winning twice.
