Bentley B, in the Second Division, lost their unbeaten record when they were beaten 8-2 by Ash C. Alan Gess notched a maximum for Ash whilst Martin Gilbey and Mike Levey chipped in with duos with both losing to Bentley’s Robin Street. Cody B eased past Broadmoor B 6-4 with Paul Mission unbeaten and Dave Stenning winning a couple as did Broadmoor’s Robert Hawes. Tennis D dented the promotion hopes of Fleet A when they won 7-3. Michael Kwan secured a maximum for Tennis with Stuart Middlemiss supporting with a duo. David Joyce won a couple for Fleet.

It appears as if Central B will be leading the First Division table at Christmas after they whitewashed Ash B. Martin Townshend, Dave Phelps and Robin Pretty bagged the points. Cody A picked up another win, 6-4, against Tennis C. Kin Chan won all three for Cody with Peter Anthony supporting with a duo which was matched by Tennis’ Paul Shakespeare. Tennis A keep up the pressure at the top after an 8-2 victory over Ash A. Rod Kay secured a maximum with Team-mates Kevin Bown and Eliot Tilley each winning twice but both lost to Ash’s Dave halfpenny.

In the Third Division Tennis F maintained their promotion push with a 7-3 victory over Crawley Ridge A. Darren Brown won all three for Tennis with Paul Jarvis supporting with a pair. Ken Thompson won a couple for Crawley Ridge.

In the Fourth Division Broadmoor C shared the points with Cody E. Gabriel Ailoae won all three for Broadmoor with colleague Sandra Jackson twice successful as was Cody’s Nigel Roberts. Crawley Ridge B and Tennis J also shared the points with the returning Peter Greenwood-Sleep notching a maximum for Crawley Ridge and colleague Ron Bartlett winning twice. Dave Lewis bagged a brace for Tennis. Ash G beat their K team 7-3 with the K team’s Stuart Wickham unbeaten. Bob Murrell, Ray Mears and Roger Fletcher all won twice for the G team. Tennis H thrashed Ash J 9-1 with both John Page and Dave Lewis, playing up, contributing maximums. Graham Rudd won a couple to help Tennis H to one of their biggest wins of the season. Frimley E beat a two-man Ash H team 6-4. Ben Carr was unbeaten for Ash.
