Broadmoor A have started their Division Two campaign at a fierce rate whitewashing Tennis E in their second match. Tony Gabriel, Keith Jones and Pu Zhang grabbing the points. Fleet A eased past newly promoted Frimley B 6-4. Dave Joyce was unbeaten for Fleet with the Frimley pair of Hudson Foley and Vasco Correira each winning twice. Ash C easily beat Broadmoor B, 9-1, to continue their excellent start to the season. Frank Winnard and Alan Gess were both unbeaten with Nigel Tustin supporting with a brace.

In the Third Division Tennis F are setting their sights on a promotion campaign after a whitewash of Ash F. Peter Killick, Darren Brown and Bob Brown being the victorious trio. Frimley C also completed a whitewash, this against their D team. John Eade, Peter Farrelly and Bob Walker all being unbeaten. Cody C had a much closer match against Ash E winning 6-4. The star performer was Ash’s Jo Bartlett who was unbeaten with the Cody duo of Stuart Stone and Dave Thomas each bagging braces.

In the Fourth Division the surprise outfit, with new players, is Crawley Ridge B who managed an excellent victory, 8-2, against Tennis H. Peter Greenwood-Sleep and Ron Bartlett each won three times. Tennis H had, earlier, started their campaign with a 7-3 success over Fleet B. Keith Johnson was unbeaten for Tennis with Graham Dorey and Charles Burton supporting with duos but both lost to Fleet’s Rob Brook. Ash G trounced their J team with Chris Payne and Ray Mears unbeaten. Roger Fletcher won a couple in support.

In the First Division Bentley A opened their season with a draw against Tennis A No player was unbeaten with pairs for Bentley’s Micky Lang and Steve French matched by Eliot Tilley and Graham Diplock from Tennis. Central A and B also shared the spoils with Phil Snelson undefeated for the A team and Martin Townshend and Dave Phelps both bagging braces for the B team. Ash B won their first match after promotion by overcoming their A team 7-3. Sam Wan won all his three for the B team with Ben Fereday chipping in with a pair. Tennis B thrashed Cody A 9-1 with both Simon Turner and Rob Gladstone recording maximums. Paul Myers won a couple.
